I am a vienna based artist currently working in the intersection of photography, painting, drawing, performance and installation. Through the last years I was very interested in searching my own real presence through the physico-chemical image in the photographic image. I hereby translate all the mediums I use through this physico-chemical canon. Since the reproduction of the photographic image takes a mass because of the digitally, we cannot be sure, which image to trust anymore. Therefore I see the Figurigramm one of the most important mediums for me in the future, to still feel connected with the real presence. Since photography‘s invention, it has offered transparency through its connection to reality. Within my practice, I explore my own actuality through the physico-chemical process of analogue photography. By partially applying chemicals onto light-sensitive surfaces, a painterly and performative process emerges across the paper‘s scale. I call these works Figurigramm rooted in their engagement with bodily movement and scale.
